At John F Kennedy Primary School, we understand that every interaction we have with our children is an opportunity to have a positive impact on the child they are, and the adult they will become. We work together to ensure that we support the whole child and work towards developing future citizens who know how to look after themselves, their community, and the wider world. We aim to ‘live’ what is learnt and apply it to everyday situations in the school community.

At John F Kennedy we aim to:

  • provide opportunities for all children to achieve their full potential
  • provide a broad, balanced, exciting curriculum within a caring and welcoming environment
  • foster a ‘have a go’ attitude, where children feel safe to try new things
  • celebrate children’s successes
  • create a school ethos that is firmly based on mutual trust, respect and tolerance
  • encourage caring and thoughtful attitudes
  • nurture confidence, resilience and independence
  • empower pupils to make informed decisions and choices
