Remote Learning Hub
We believe that if for any reason sections or all pupils have to be off school, it is vital that children have access to high quality, bespoke learning, which includes regular contact with their teachers and school community. We aim to provide an engaging remote learning package which continues to foster a love of life and learning. To support this, all children have their own Microsoft Teams account.
Children use their Teams account to access a combination of live, recorded and independent sessions from across the curriculum. Each week, there will be a timetable uploaded into their Teams account, enabling them to have an overview of the week ahead. The timetable signals which sessions will be live each day. All work to be accessed will be saved in the appropriate folder.

Phonics
At John F Kennedy, our phonics sessions are delivered through Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised. Phonics is taught from nursery to help children master the basics of the foundation stage of early reading. These sessions are delivered systematically and are broken down from phases 1 to 5. Each phase allows children to progressively build on their reading skills with the hope that they are confident and fluent readers by the end of phase 5.
